Christian Lloyd Senior Hometown: Franklin, TN Major: Industrial and Systems Engineering Why did you choose Alpha Chi? Well, to be honest, I talked about food in every single conversation in Alpha Chi and that just spoke to my heart lol. On a more serious note, I knew each of the conversations I had in Alpha Chi were genuine; Alpha Chi doesn't have a type or look associated with it - we are all different and it works! How have you changed from Freshman to Senior year? Better question: how haven't I changed lol! I think the largest change has been in learning the value of taking time for yourself. College goes by so fast and Freshman year I was 100000% focused on grades and grades and grades alone; I am thankful for that year becuase it really helped me to develop effective study habits and learn what it takes to do well in college, but it took a tole on me both mentally and physically. After that year, I learned grades really don't define your success and if you don't take time to do the things you love/develop relationships with the people around you, your academic/involvement/campus/etc success won't matter. Although, I'd like to think my personality hasn't changed haha :) I mean, I still wear crocs, love star wars, and dance to the beat of my own drum! Who is your celebrity crush? Ryan Gossling right now, but also, EMMA WATSON ALWAYS! #powerhouse #goals. What's your favorite thing about being President of Student Recruiters? My favorite part of Studz is getting to work with the most genuine, charismatic, and fun group of TRUE Auburn Men and Women. You'll be hard-pressed to find a group of harder working, more genuine individuals who are devoted to serving Auburn; I'm just lucky to be associated with them. Plus, they all look great walking backwards across campus in khaki shorts?!?! I mean, in-and-of-itself that's enough to love a group of people! How has being in Alpha Chi helped throughout the years? Being surrounded by equally driven, enthusiastic, and compassionate women, helped me celebrate the good times, make it through the tough days, and inspired me to continue to grow into a better person each day. I credit Alpha Chi for helping me find the best roommates/friends and for helping me find my place at Auburn. Here's to a couple more weeks of random dance parties, life chats in the breakfast nook, How would your friends describe your personality? Outgoing, lively, driven, dedicated, honest, resilient, and "the one who is always dancing even if there is no music on". What is your biggest take away from your 4 years at Auburn? Life is too short not to be focused on the people in your life and on the impact you have on this world. Also, becuase life is SHORT, BE YOURSELF: wear crocs, dance on the concourse, or join the pizza club; whatever you choose to do, own it! Quick! Beach or Mountains?
Probably the beach because I grew up going there and have family in Florida...but I have always wanted to go to the mountains!

Erin Roberts Junior Hometown: Homewood, AL Major:Communication How have you changed since being in Alpha Chi? Since I've been in Alpha Chi I have changed and grown quite a bit. I have learned the value of hard work and humility, but most importantly, I have seen the fullness of joy that comes from walking with my Heavenly Father day in and day out. Through every season, I have been constantly encouraged, loved, and challenged by each one of the girls in Alpha Chi and that has also been such a big part of my growth at Auburn. What is your favorite Alpha Chi event? My favorite Alpha Chi event is probably Tim Tyler Tuesday or formal! You can't ask for much more when you've got live music and great people! What is your spirit animal and why? I've never thought about my spirit animal before so I took an online quiz and it said I was a deer haha. I like to think that's true though because I have a strong intuition and handle challenges pretty gracefully, so I'll stick with that. What are your plans after you graduate? I would love to be able to work within ministry somewhere or maybe do some type of PR/event planning for a company! I'm not sure what that would look like but I know the Lord has a plan for me, and as long as I get to work with people I'll be happy doing anything! What is your favorite thing to do in Auburn? My favorite thing to do in Auburn is just be with my friends doing anything. Sometimes watching movies, sometimes visiting the fire tower, and sometimes doing absolutely nothing. It doesn't really matter as long as I'm with my pals. If you could describe Alpha Chi in one word what would it be?
Genuine. Alpha chi has such a wide variety of girls from different places and with different passions, but everyone loves each other just the same and that is by far my favorite thing about Alpha Chi! These girls are just real. That sounds so cliché but it's true. |
