What has been the hardest adjustment with college? I think the hardest thing has been managing my time between school, Alpha Chi, and band. It's hard having 3 things that take up a lot of time, but I wouldn't have it any other way! What is your favorite show on Netflix? Well I don't have a Netflix (super strange), but I love The Bachelor!! I've watched it with my mom and sister since the first season, so I'm kinda addicted. I can't wait for it to start again in February! |
What was it like trying to balance fall recruitment and band camp at the same time? It was super stressful, but I had so much fun! I would go to band camp from 7-4 every day, then run over to rush for an hour before I had to go back to practice. My Pi Chi was so great!! She would have my schedule for me and we would sprint to each sorority in my smelly band clothes. I was only in there for about 10 minutes, so I was always stressed when it came to the rankings. I loved it though! |
What is your favorite part of Auburn game day? I absolutely love pregame!! It makes me so nervous but also so excited! We all wait under the stadium then run out to see the thousands of people watching us. I can't explain how that feels. I always watched the band when I came to the games, so it's so cool to be a part of that now. |
What made you choose Alpha Chi? Taylor Sivley is who made me choose Alpha Chi. She would always talk to me when I came in, and she was so sweet. I was happy to have a sorority that I connected with. I love the philanthropy, what Alpha Chi stands for, and its reputation. I wanted a place that would help me grow in my relationship with Christ, and I knew that Alpha Chi would definitely do that. |

How is being an Aubie Director? I love being an Aubie Director! There's probably a 90% chance I'm with Aubie whenever you see him! It keeps me super busy but it has been a great learning experience so far and I have grown tremendously as a person. I get to help bring smiles to people's faces every day which is ultimately what it is all about. |
Any advice for freshmen looking to get involved? I think that it is important that when you get involved you should make sure that it is something that you actually care about and that it shouldn't just be a "resume builder." In college it's easy to get overwhelmed with the heavy workload but if it's something that you enjoy doing or you are passionate about it, then it's not as strenuous at the end of the day. |

If you were an article of clothing what would you be and why?
If I was an article of clothing, I would be my Tory Burch riding boots! They are simple, classic, and compliment almost any outfit I wear in the fall (which is also my favorite season!)

What has been your favorite Alpha Chi memory so far?
My favorite memory in Alpha Chi would be when my grandmother surprised me and came to Auburn to initiate me into Alpha Chi during my freshman year! It is so special that I get to share my sorority with my grandmother and she even gave me a ring with the Alpha Chi crest on it that I wear every single day.

If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
I honestly can't pick just one food! I think having to eat only one food for the rest of my life is my worst nightmare. I'm basically a garbage disposal when it comes to food so I love everything!

If you could live anywhere where would you live and why?
If I could live anywhere, I would live in Auburn and magically find a way to stay a junior in college forever! It breaks my heart that I will have to leave Auburn in 2 years so if I could, I would just stay 20 years old and live here forever!

Who has been the biggest role model in your life?
My biggest role model in my life has, without a doubt, been my mom. To know her is to love her and she has always been my best friend and biggest supporter. We have this weird twin telepathy and I swear she knows me better than I know myself. She means everything to me and I hope and pray that I end up just like her one day!

Where's the coolest place you've ever been?
The coolest place I've ever been would have to be Haiti! I went on a mission trip during my senior year of high school to a community of deaf Haitians living together just outside the capital of Port-au-Prince. I had the opportunity to learn some sign language and help the people in the community develop practical skills that would help them become more self sufficient in an effort to alleviate their poverty. The friends I made there are truly incredible people who are filled with joy and love!

Who is your celebrity crush?
My celebrity crush is hands down Eric Church! I love him more for his music than his looks, but he is the coolest person in the world to me! He sings songs about love, loss, having fun, and living in the South! I've seen him live 3 times and he's absolutely amazing!

What is your favorite movie and why?
My favorite movie is The Help! I read the book too and loved it but I think the movie just brings to life the true humor and humanity in the story. The plot combines complexities within family, romantic, and work relationships and highlights the importance of loving other people for their differences. (plus Emma Stone is flawless!) I can't watch the ending without crying.

What are you most excited about for your senior year? I think what I’m most excited about for senior year is probably getting to make the most of the last year I have! To take advantage of everyday and every opportunity. I’m excited to get to know the freshmen and continue building these relationships here in college during these next two semesters!! |
What has been your favorite Alpha Chi memory? My favorite Alpha Chi memory was getting to campaign for Chelsea Crooks my freshmen year! It was so cool to see such unity in not only my pledge class but with everyone in the sorority! One of my other favorite things was getting to live on the hall! My pledge class grew so much closer during that time (and my closest size increased as well haha!) |
What's one piece of advice you would give to freshmen? Oh man. I’ve been through it all I feel like, but I would say the biggest thing i’ve learn is that everything happens exactly how it’s supposed to happen! Whether it be not getting FLP or even getting the position you applied for, it all happens for a reason!! I’m so thankful for all the opportunities the Lord has blessed me with and even in the hard times I know I am in the exact place I’m supposed to be in!! Don’t let one bad thing hold you down, keep your head up and make the most of the time we have hear!! Invest in others, get involved in different places, and love the time you have here! |
Who has inspired you most? Toffffff. Olivia Tofani has not only been a leader to me in Alpha Chi (like when I have a million and a half questions that probably get so obnoxious to answer), but also she has been a best friend to me for nearly 4 years. Whether it's Alpha Chi related or not, I know she is one of the most approachable human beings with a heart of gold. She has loved me and the rest of Alpha Chi so much and I couldn’t thank her enough for that. It’s made my time in this sorority so enjoyable. |
